TINAH was founded by Sophie Biggerstaff out of frustration with the limitations of mental health services in the UK. After a mental breakdown in 2018, Sophie experienced panic attacks, anxiety, and depression. When she sought help from the NHS, she was placed on a 12-week waitlist for cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT).

Unwilling to wait, Sophie used her work benefits to begin private therapy, uncovering deeper struggles and detrimental thought patterns. This led her on a global journey of self-development, where she discovered effective coping mechanisms, changed her habits, and rewrote her belief system to better manage her anxiety symptoms.

In 2022, while living in Bali, Sophie met Kelsey, a former Behavioral Specialist in Inpatient Psychology, who further guided her healing journey and introduced her to square breathing. Their shared passion for mental health led to the creation of TINAH—a platform designed to bridge the gap between facing mental health challenges alone and accessing the support you need.

TINAH combines Sophie’s personal experiences with Kelsey’s professional expertise to empower you to take control of your mental well-being, offering a resource that complements, but doesn’t replace, professional mental health services.
